Speaking of annoying messages, I've received seven billing notices from


Novant Health in the last 10 days. Texts and emails, and in the MyChart dashboard. I have an outstanding balance due, but won't be past due until April 21. I've been a Novant "customer" for years, have never paid a bill late.

Are hospitals really that desperate for an $88 payment? Aren't most major hospital systems a little on the cash-heavy side since COVID?
